In case you have been living under a rock, the Heated Rivalry fandom is staying as booked as busy as the show’s stars while we patiently wait for season 2. The latest appearance from the show’s stars saw Hudson Williams, who plays Shane Hollander, and Connor Storrie, who plays Ilya Rozanov, reunite as torchbearers for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympic Games.

Both Williams and Storrie traveled to Feltre, Italy, to participate in the Olympic torch relay on Sunday, January 25, during the 49th stage. The duo carried the Olympic flame throughout the quaint North Italian town, decked in matching Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games tracksuits.

While Williams completed his torchbearer look with his trusty New Balance 9060 sneakers, which we have seen him wear a few times before, Storrie picked a hidden gem in both the retro sneaker and white sneaker categories: a pair of the Autry med-way sneakers, specifically in the marshmallow and white colorway.

Retro sneakers have been having a bit of a kick since last year, and the trend does not seem to be slowing down at all for 2026. Storrie is the latest celebrity to join in on the fun with his Autry sneakers, but celebs like Olivia Rodrigo and Tyla have also given the trend their stamp of approval with picks from brands like Vans, Nike, and more.

Storrie’s pick of retro sneakers is not as mainstream as a pair of Vans Authentic or Nike Cortez, but it stands as a great alternative to classic white sneakers like the Air Force 1s or the similar-looking Reebok Club C 85.

The Med-Way might look super retro, but it is actually one of Autry’s newest models, based on the brand’s beloved classic, the Medalist. The Med-Way silhouette features a slightly higher collar while staying true to the brand’s ‘80s tennis aesthetic.

Sneaker inspo aside, the Olympic torch relay will continue until the Winter Olympic Games officially start on February 6, 2026. After Williams and Storrie, the relay continued its path through northern Italy. The event, which will soon enter Lombardy, is scheduled to finish in Milan during its 60th stage on February 5, 2025.
