Crocs entered my life one summer many years ago while in search of a comfortable, waterproof shoe. I ended up finding a black pair of their flip-flop style, which I then had for many seasons to follow, and only later did I finally get myself a pair of the infamous Crocs Classic Clogs during the boom of Crocs purchases during the pandemic in 2020.

Coupled with a plethora of collaborations between Crocs and high-end designers such as Balenciaga, Simone Rocha, and, most recently, Swarovski, the comfy clogs have become a fashion staple in their own way.

The best thing about these collabs is the unexpected. When I think of Swarovski, the style of these new shoes was not what immediately came to mind, but that is what I love about them — they feel fun, fresh, and bring a different voice to both the Crocs and Swarovski brands alike. I love that they’re here to surprise and delight.

Swarovski and Crocs are re-envisioning the Classic Clog and the Bae Clog, adding sparkly 3D flower Jibbitz charms, a thorny metal back strap, and other glittery features. Still, it has Crocs’ signature customizable nature, so you can add a bedazzled Hello Kitty to the mix, too. The pairs are slated to arrive early next month.

Naturally, I asked some of the Teen Vogue team to try out the ornate Swarovski x Crocs collab, and they delivered! And for fun, because I have always been a fan, I got to try out the Simone Rocha style, whose color was just the pop of color that I needed for footwear in my current wardrobe.
