Influencer Sara Buckley and her husband, Sterling Buckley, have split after more than two decades together.
“Welp… welcome to divorcecore, I guess,” Sara wrote via Instagram on Sunday, March 8, alongside a video of her planting flowers outside. “Getting divorced and moving halfway across the country wasn’t on my f***ing vision board, I can tell you that.”
Sara shared that she moved from Las Vegas to Oklahoma City and would be starting “a whole new life with [her] baby sister.”
“And we plant flowers and s*** on Sundays. Blah blah blah some sappy s*** about uprooting your life and blooming somewhere else blah blah blahhhhhhhhhhh,” she quipped. “The lighting was just too good. Plus my hair looks fabulous.”
While showing off her arm muscles as she rocked ripped jeans and a tank top, Sara concluded, “Anywho, still getting yoked while being hot and funny.”
“Been a CRAZY 2026 so far #divorcecore,” Sara captioned her post, to which Sterling replied in the comments section, “Nice jeans.”
Hours later, Sara — who has more than 300,000 followers on Instagram — shared another video to shut down any criticism of Sterling.
“Pump the Sterling hate brakes. You didn’t see me say anything bad about him. Did you?” she said via Instagram on Sunday. “No, so don’t jump to conclusions. I will not be speaking badly about Sterling ever, so calm down. You get us both in the divorce. Relax.”
She captioned the post, “Just bc we’re divorcing doesn’t mean I don’t have his back. It’s still the 5 of us vs everyone ❤️.”
Sterling, meanwhile, shared a separate Instagram post after Sara’s announcement and encouraged his more than 18,000 followers to advocate for mental health.
“For years I’ve encouraged people to take their mental health seriously, to be open about any struggle you’re going through,” he began. “Going through a depression is not shameful. You’re not alone, and there are lots of people who are willing to be there for you. And that has come back to me a hundredfold the past couple weeks.”
Sterling, who shares three kids with Sara, shared that several followers reached out to him after hearing of his split.
“I’ve received dozens and dozens — over 50 messages — of encouraging words like this: ‘Hey Sterling, you’ve talked about your mental health and the struggles you’ve gone through a lot, so I’m just checking in to make sure that you’re OK. I want to be there for you if I can,’” Sterling said. “I got literally over 50 of those and probably more.”
He continued, “It has been so encouraging and has made me feel so loved. But also, I want to encourage others to tell people about your struggles. Let people be there for you. When you do, you never know when the universe is going to just shed that love back in your face. It did to me the last couple weeks and I’m very, very thankful.”
He captioned the post, “Thanks for the encouragement guys. Keep spreading kindness and empathy! #mentalhealth #divorce #support #love #kindness.”
