“This is more than a picture.” An official trailer has debuted for an indie thriller titled Pose, also known as Turn Up the Sun! at its international premiere at POFF recently. Both of these titles don’t actually help shine any light on what this film is really about and what’s going on in it. Two couples arrive at countryside mansion they booked unknowingly together. They discover strange occurrences & coincidences during the stay. Here’s another more juicy intro: “Artists looking for inspiration, lovers seeking attention, a mysterious muse and the pursuit of the sublime provide the perfect backdrop for a thrilling revelation. But what is needed to revamp artistic passion? The free yet stylish framing of Jamie Adams follows the enigmatic gang through chaos and fun, forcing everyone to confront their deepest fears & desires. A classy, smart reflection on the labyrinth of the creative mind.” The film stars James McAvoy, Aisling Franciosi, Leila Farzad, Lucas Bravo, Elektra Kilbey, and Almudena Amor. This is a very weird trailer that bounces all over the place. Is he actually a serial killer? Or just a guy who can seduce any woman? Or something else? Huh…

He is taking the trendy pictures for her new, chic pop album. It seems to be an ideal weekend, but then more people arrive at the mansion, and the game begins – a psychological game, for example. Pose, also known as Turn Up the Sun, is written and directed by British indie filmmaker Jamie Adams, director of the movies Wild Honey Pie!, Alright Now, Balance Not Symmetry, Bittersweet Symphony, Love Spreads, Venice at Dawn, She Is Love, and The Holiday List previously. Produced by Bannor Michael MacGregor, Rebecca Miller, Shaun Sanghani, Cara Shine Ballarini. This just premiered at the 2025 Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival this winter. Adams’ Pose film also will release in select US theaters starting December 5th, 2025. Anyone want to watch it?
