Jason Statham Fights More People in Action Thriller ‘Shelter’ Trailer

“I need a way out – for her. She’s just a kid who was in the wrong place at the wrong time…” Black Bear Pictures has revealed the first official trailer for the action movie Shelter directed by action filmmaker Ric Roman Waugh (who also has Greenland 2 out next year). This is the next exciting Jason Statham January action movie to enjoy! And it looks even better than the last two: A Working Man and The Beekeeper. In this next one, Statham stars as the same character – an assassin hiding from his past. A recluse on a remote Scottish island rescues a girl from the sea, unleashing a perilous sequence of events that culminate in an attack on his home, compelling him to face his turbulent history. Forced out of isolation, he must confront his dangerous past while protecting her, sending them on a tense journey of survival and redemption all the way down to London. Starring Jason Statham, Naomi Ackie, Bill Nighy, Tom Wu, and Bodhi Rae Breathnach. I’m glad Statahm isn’t wearing yet another obnoxious baseball cap like in the last two, but he does still have that beanie for some of it. This is a solid trailer – actually makes me want to watch this movie.

The screenplay is written by Ward Parry. It’s produced by Jon Berg, Brendon Boyea, John Friedberg, Greg Silverman, Jason Statham. Black Bear will debut Waugh’s Shelter in theaters starting January 30th, 2026 coming up early next year. Who’s down?
