John Cameron Mitchell has been named the next Mary Todd Lincoln!

On Thursday (December 11), it was announced that the 62-year-old Tony-winning actor will be joining the cast of Cole Escola‘s fan-favorite Broadway play Oh, Mary! for a limited engagement next year.

John‘s run will follow an encore bow from Jinkx Monsoon, who is herself set to succeed current star Jane Krakowski beginning January 8, 2026.

The Hedwig and the Angry Inch star will take over as Mary Todd Lincoln for a 12-week limited engagement, from February 3 through April 26. The supporting cast for John‘s run in the show will be announced at a later date.
