Jonathan Groff hit the stage for a performance during the 2025 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 8) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
The 40-year-old actor joined his Just In Time company to perform a medley of “Mack the Knife,” “That’s All” and “Once in a Lifetime” from the Tony-nominated Broadway musical.
While introducing the performance, host Cynthia Erivo joked about the balcony being the best place to sit for a Jonathan Groff performance, as he has become synonymous with spitting while singing.

Ahead of the awards ceremony, Jonathan and co-stars Gracie Lawrence and Erika Henningsen were seen hitting the red carpet for the Tonys.
In addition to his two performances, Jonathan was also nominated for Best Actor in a musical, but lost out to friend and fellow Glee alum Darren Criss. See the full list of winners!
