Jonathan Jackson‘s time on General Hospital has come to an end again.

On Thursday (June 5), executive producer Frank Valentini announced that the 43-year-old five-time Daytime Emmy winner is once again leaving the ABC soap opera, nine months after he reprised his role as Lucky Spencer.

Jonathan‘s exit was set up on Thursday when Lucky proposed to longtime love Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), but she turned him down knowing that he wouldn’t be content staying put in Port Charles.

After portraying Lucky on and off since 1993, Jonathan left the show in 2011. He briefly returned in 2015 then returned again in October 2024.

Jonathan‘s final episode is set to air one day next week.
