The hit anime TV show Jujutsu Kaisen has set a release date for Season 3. The first season of the show debuted in Japan in October 2020. The sophomore season subsequently premiered in Japan in July 2023. There was also a movie, titled Jujutsu Kaisen 0, that came out in December 2021. Jujutsu Kaisen is an anime adaptation of the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami.
Jujutsu Kaisen announces Season 3 TV premiere date
It was revealed through Jujutsu Kaisen’s official website and social media accounts that Season 3 will debut in Japan on January 8, 2026, at 12:26 a.m. JST. Crunchyroll subsequently announced that it would stream the episode on the same day. The streaming service added that it would disclose the streaming time at a later date.
In Japan, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will air on MBS, TBS, and 28 affiliated channels. The anime also released a teaser alongside the Season 3 release date announcements.
The teaser prominently features Naoya Zenin, an important antagonist in Season 3. Naoya is the youngest son of Naobito Zenin and considers himself the true heir of his family. Koji Yusa voices the character in the season.
Ahead of the Season 3 premiere, fans can catch the first two episodes of the upcoming batch as part of the compilation movie Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution, which debuted in Japan on November 7. The movie will come out in North America on December 5.
Jujutsu Kaisen takes place in a world where curses are real. The narrative predominantly follows a teenager named Yuji Itadori, who becomes the host of Ryomen Sukuna, an ancient and powerful curse spirit. The Japanese voice cast of Jujutsu Kaisen includes Junya Enoki as Itadori, Megumi Ogata as Yuta Okkotsu, and Yuma Uchida as Megumi Fushiguro.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 has adapted the Culling Game arc of Akutami’s source material. Studio MAPPA has animated the third season, just as it did the previous two seasons.
