So, it was no surprise our favorite chronically online Gen Z girl group made their first official Halloween dress-up moment a nod to an online meme of themselves.

This past September, Mariah Carey took home the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award at the VMAs. But before Carey even got onstage to accept her award, it was a carpet moment with KATSEYE that led to a viral joke amongst the girl group’s fans. When asked by a red carpet interviewer what their favorite Mariah Carey music video was, the group hesitated a little before Lara shared that she loved the songs “Obsessed” and “My All.” The rest of the girls laughed and said that there were so many to choose from, which led to Eyekons poking fun at the girls, claiming that they didn’t know any of the music videos.
