King Charles, Prince William Epstein Files Statements ‘Raise Questions’

This week on Royally Us, Prince William traveled to Saudi Arabia for a solo three-day royal trip, Meghan Markle made a fashion statement at the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala and royal author Omid Scobie reacts to the statements made by the palace on the Jeffrey Epstein files.

William, 43, and Princess Kate Middleton showed support for the victims of the late convicted sex offender, who has been associated with William’s Uncle, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor continues to make headlines as more Jeffrey Epstein files are released. The third round of Epstein documents were released by the United States Justice Department earlier this month, and Andrew’s name came up several times. Andrew’s connection to the late billionaire sex trafficker was exposed in 2019 when the late Virgina Giuffre alleged […]

The spokesperson noted on Monday, February, 9, “I can confirm The Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations. Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.”

King Charles echoed those sentiments with the palace saying in a statement, “The King has made clear, in words and through unprecedented actions, his profound concern at allegations which continue to come to light in respect of Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct. While the specific claims in question are for Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor to address, if we are approached by Thames Valley Police, we stand ready to support them as you would expect.”

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, has also come under fire for her close-knit relationship with late billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. In January 2026, the United States Department of Justice released the latest batch of Epstein Files, which included alleged email correspondence between Epstein and Ferguson. Ferguson allegedly referred to Epstein as a “legend” and […]

“I think this decision to speak out, while it is perhaps a little too late, is still better than nothing,” Scobie, coauthor of Royal Spin with Robin Benway, exclusively tells Us Weekly.“I think it’s great that King Charles is willing to cooperate with the British authorities, but at the same time, it does raise questions about who knew what and when, and I don’t necessarily mean the current senior Royals. I mean, which senior aides knew all along what was going on and turned a blind eye because there was a lot more action and goings on than we ever thought.”

In October 2025, King Charles, 77, stripped his younger brother  — formerly known as Prince Andrew — of his royal titles and evicted him from his home.

The former prince’s dramatic fall from royal life has been linked to his association with the late convicted sex offender. In a 2019 interview with BBC’s Newsnight, Mountbatten-Windsor said he was introduced to Epstein through the financier’s then-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, and denied any wrongdoing. (Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 to procuring a minor for prostitution and soliciting a prostitute, and he was later arrested on federal sex trafficking charges just weeks before his death by suicide in August 2019. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence on sex trafficking convictions.)
