Sheer dressing was among the featured trends at the 2025 LACMA Art + Film Gala on Saturday night in Los Angeles. Several high-profile stars, including Demi Moore, opted to wear pieces by presenting sponsor of the annual event, Gucci.

Naturally, the Italian luxury fashion house wasn’t the only maison represented. Kristen Wiig also went sheer in Rodarte, while Paris Hilton gave a nod to lingerie-inspired dressing. WWD details those looks and more ahead.

Demi Moore

Demi Moore endorsed Demna’s creative direction at Gucci with her custom sheer gown and jewelry from the Italian luxury fashion house. The Oscar-nominated “The Substance” star‘s sleeveless gown featured a black sheer fabric, embellished with allover florals in shades of purple, blue, red and more with green stems. The formfitting dress, selected by Moore’s longtime stylist Brad Goreski, included a slight train.

Moore’s raven black hair was styled in a flowing, natural wave by Dimitris Giannetos, with makeup provided by artist Rokael Lizama. Nail tech was provided by Zola Ganzorigt, with assistance to the overall look from Clarke Johnson.

Kristen Wiig

Kristen Wiig opted for a strapless look by Rodarte. The formfitting dress featured a lace fabric embellished with floral motifs throughout. The skirt of the dress incorporated a straight, column style with a fitted silhouette. Wiig emphasized the black color scheme of her look with smokey eyes and styled her blond hair with a soft wave.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton channeled lingerie inspiration with her lacy see-through dress. The mogul wore a long-sleeve, formfitting dress with a plunging neckline. Beneath the sheer dress, Hilton wore a soft body suit that emphasized the silhouette of the dress with a cinched waist. Hilton accessorized her look with diamond bracelets and earrings.

Dixie D’Amelio

Like Moore, Dixie D’Amelio also turned to Gucci for her attire. The 24-year-old social media influencer wore a slinky sheer black dress with a plunging V-shaped neckline and crystal firework embellishments incorporated throughout the piece. D’Amelio also wore a feathery shawl to go along with her attire and completed the look with platform silver metallic peep-toe heels.

The LACMA Art + Film Gala is an annual fundraising event to support and benefit the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The 2025 edition of the event honored American artist Mary Corse and filmmaker Ryan Coogler. Proceeds for the event benefit LACMA’s film initiatives.
