During her opening monologue at the Golden Globes earlier this month, host Nikki Glaser ribbed 51-year-old nominee Leonardo DiCaprio for his tendency to date 20-something women. It was a cheap shot, she admitted, if only because it was so well trodden. “We don’t know anything else about you, man,” she told the room, soliciting a laugh from the One Battle After Another star himself. “There’s nothing else. Open up.”
As of this week, we have learned something new about Leonardo DiCaprio: He sometimes shops for his own designer clothing at boutiques in New York City.
On Monday, the actor—a committedly nondescript dresser—and his girlfriend, the Italian model Vittoria Ceretti, stopped by the Dior and Saint Laurent stores in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood, where they were photographed by paparazzi through the former store’s glass windows. At Dior, DiCaprio shed his usual black puffer jacket and LA Dodgers cap to try on neat collared shirts and a boxy wool workwear jacket in two different colors: black and gray. Ceretti, who was dressed in a brown fur jacket and blue jeans, looked on attentively as her boyfriend tried things on. Per the images, the Oscar winner appeared to consult a store employee about several of the items, including the gray wool jacket.
This is not the first time that DiCaprio (who just so happened to wear a Dior tuxedo to the Globes) and Ceretti have done some brick-and-mortar shopping in the city. In October 2024, the actor was spotted carrying a pair of bags from Bode while the couple walked around near the New York label’s Lower East Side store. It’s nice that even a man who exclusively dresses like he’s incognito can appreciate fine textiles.
