The Rookie star Melissa O’Neil has confirmed one huge development in Tim and Lucy’s season 8 relationship.

In an interview with CTV News to discuss The Rookie season 8, O’Neil discussed developments for the show going into the new season, and how the seventh season of the show ended for the former couple. She talks about some strides that were made, and how Tim is open to the idea of rekindling things, as well as stating that they have heard from showrunnner Alexi Hawley that Tim is interested in taking things forward.

“I think well, for those who have made it to the very end, we do see that, like, there are some strides being made. He definitely wants to, like, move things forward. And we’ve heard from our showrunner Alexi Hawley that, um, he’s ready to take it forward. Yes, he is.”
