Mickey Rourke has reportedly been evicted from his Los Angeles residence following a California court’s ruling related to unpaid rent. According to court documents, a judge issued a default judgment in favor of the landlord. The development comes months after a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe drew public attention to the situation. 

Reports claim a California court has canceled Mickey Rourke’s rental agreement

A California court has reportedly ruled in favor of a landlord in an eviction case involving the actor and former boxer.

According to the Los Angeles Times, court documents indicate that the case moved forward after Mickey Rourke did not formally respond to the complaint within the time permitted by law. As per the ruling, the court entered a default judgment that effectively terminated his lease agreement with landlord Eric T. Goldie. The decision cancels the rental contract and grants possession of the property to the landlord.

The dispute began late last year when Goldie alleged that Rourke had accumulated significant unpaid rent at the Beverly Grove property. Court documents state that The Wrestler star owed approximately $59,100 in back payments for the home. It reportedly rents for about $7,000 per month.

Before filing the eviction complaint, the landlord served Rourke with a three-day notice on December 18, 2025. It instructed him to either pay the overdue amount or vacate the property. Due to no resolution, Goldie filed the eviction case on December 29, 2025.

Notably, the eviction case drew attention earlier this year when a fundraising campaign was created on GoFundMe to help cover the outstanding amount. Mickey Rourke’s manager, Kimberly Hines, listed as the beneficiary, organized it. The fundraiser set a goal of $100,000 and received more than that amount from approximately 2,700 donors within three days.

Rourke later criticized the campaign in a video shared on Instagram. In the clip, he described the fundraiser as “humiliating” and encouraged people who had contributed to request refunds. The campaign was subsequently removed from the platform.

The Iron Man 2 actor claimed, “I said I’m not paying rent, because there’s mice, there’s rats, the floor is rotten, one bathtub there is no water.” Moreover, his manager told The Hollywood Reporter in January 2026 that the Beverly Grove property had severe damage. Rourke then began staying at a West Hollywood hotel till he could move into an accommodation in Koreatown.
