Miu Miu revived its bubble sole sneaker in its fall 2026 collection, which was presented on the last day of Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday.

Founder and creative director Miuccia Prada brought back the popular athletic silhouette from 1999, defined by a squared toe and a studded sole which gives the style a distinctive textured look. The new version of the sneaker was multitextured with suede down the middle; it showed up in earthy-hued color blocked variations, and many made a striking statement thanks to bedazzlement along the side panels of the upper. Several pairs were made glamorous with intricate beading, while others forwent the embellishment.

The bubble sole was also given to skin-tight knee high boots and mule clogs, which hit the runway in versatile colors like black and tan.

The flair continued with ultra-sparkly block heel pumps, intricately embellished slides and an embellished pair of the mule clogs. The show also included lace-up work boots crafted from leather that looked well worn, recalling the overall women’s work theme of spring 2026, a collection that included sandals, slouchy boots and more shoe styles.

Joelle Diderich wrote about the role of the accessories in a WWD review of the fall 2026 show: “If the minimal clothing felt like a ’90s revival — more than timely, considering Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s Prada coat just sold for $192,000 at auction — the accessories spoke to Gen Z’s desire to stand out, with embellished chapkas, crystallized belts and bedazzled sneakers and pool slides.”
The ‘90s indeed seem to have returned, not only with the minimalist clothing but also with the bubble sneaker.
