More Fun Yoshi Promo Spots for ‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ Sequel

“The great battle of my life draws near!” More Yoshi, more fun! Universal Pictures and Illumination have debuted a series of TV spots for the The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, the all-out animated sequel to the first epic The Super Mario Bros. Movie from 2023. A few weeks back, they debuted a fun new teaser trailer introducing Yoshi in this movie. Now they’ve launched two more TV spots featuring the goofy green dino causing mayhem in the Super Mario Bros universe. Mario ventures into space, exploring cosmic worlds and tackling galactic challenges far from the familiar Mushroom Kingdom. The main voice actors include Chris Pratt as Mario again, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek. They’re really obsessed with Yoshi being the centerpiece of the marketing now. But hey sure why not! Everyone loves little Yoshi, right?

Yippee! The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is an animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros., and follows The Super Mario Bros. Movie, released in 2023 which earned more than $1.3 billion worldwide. Illumination’s The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is co-directed by filmmakers Aaron Horvath (director of Teen Titans GO! To the Movies) and Michael Jelenic (a producer on Teen Titans Go!, ThunderCats Roar and other animated series) both of the first Super Mario Bros Movie. The screenplay is again written by Matthew Fogel (The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, Minions: The Rise of Gru). Based on the video game series from Nintendo, originally created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Gunpei Yokoi in 1983 as an arcade game. Produced by Chris Meledandri and Shigeru Miyamoto.
