The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Mikayla Matthews is teasing the status of her relationship with husband Jace Terry after announcing they were separating during season 4.

In a TikTok video posted on Sunday, March 22, Mikayla, 26, was seen digging into fries from Taco Bell and lip-syncing along to an audio clip as Jace, 30, walked past behind her.

“And you’re gonna wanna sit down for this video,” the MomTok influencer mouthed along to a divorce announcement shared by fellow influencer Mikayla Nogueira in February.

“I am getting a divorce,” Mikayla continued to lip-sync. “Take a minute. Take it in,” she added as Jace walked into the frame.

Mikayla captioned the video, “Sorry taco bell is my only true love 😚🫶🏼,” tagging Jace, with whom she shares four children: Beckham, 8, Haven, 6, Tommie, 4, and 8-month-old Lottie June.

Mikayla and Jace said they were separating during the fourth season of Mormon Wives, which premiered earlier this month on Hulu, after continued intimacy issues. (The couple first addressed their personal problems in season 3.)

“Jace and I stayed up all night talking about the pros and the cons of separating,” she said in a season 4 confessional. “Between all of the MomTok drama and the pressure that I feel to get my marriage in a good place, I’m definitely reaching a breaking point. We both agreed to do a separation.”

Mikayla later gave an update on her relationship with Jace to Us Weekly ahead of the season 4 premiere.

“I think it’s tricky in this environment, because I also need a lot of support from him going through all of it,” she said. “And so it’s kind of one of those things that we’re still navigating, and it still has its ups and still has its downs.”

“Unfortunately for me, it’s like I’m stuck in this place where my health is out of my control,” Mikayla said, referring to her chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS) diagnosis. “I feel like I can’t get anything else in my life under control once I have that under control. So it’s kind of just with time and patience. I think it’s something we’re still working through, and we’re still going to be working through for a while.”

At the time, Mikayla was coy about whether she and Jace were still living together.

“I mean, we’re filming now, obviously, so I can’t give too much away,” Mikayla told Us. “I’m having to figure out, is it my house that’s making me sick? Is it Utah that’s making me sick? And so I feel like there’s a lot of that frustration that’s weighing on me right now, like, a lot of anxiety and stress that way of, ‘OK, do I have to remove myself from my home, from my marriage, from the state? Like, what do I have to do to heal myself?’ I think that’s still something that I’m still very much in the thick of.”

Over the weekend, Mikayla documented her family vacation to California after production on Mormon Wives season 5 was halted amid fresh domestic violence allegations that emerged against costar Taylor Frankie Paul.

“It was a decision that all of us girls came up with and agreed on,” Mikayla said last week, addressing the production pause. “We didn’t feel comfortable filming with everything that was happening.”
