North West is continuing her Roman fashion streak. Just one day after taking goth style out for a spin alongside her mother, Kim Kardashian, the 12-year-old is back again with another look, this time giving two controversial fashion trends her stamp of approval.

On August 26, 2025, photos of North West and Kim Kardashian exiting their hotel in Rome in style were released. For the occasion, North opted for her own take on the divisive Canadian tuxedo, comprising a pleated mini skirt in light-wash denim and a matching workwear-inspired cropped jacket, which she wore zipped up. She completed her look with another divisive trend: a pair of on-the-rise again wedge sneakers. (You can see photos of the look here.)

In particular, North hopped on the wedge sneaker trend with a pair of Isabel Marant’s unmistakable Balskee style, a sportier and chunkier take on the uber popular Bekett that dominated celebrities’ wardrobes all over the world in the 2010s.

As evidenced by these sneakers and the VETEMENTS x New Rock platform boots worn the day before, it is clear that North is definitely not one to partake in the flatter shoe styles that have been dominating sneaker trends lately, instead opting for statement stompers that make her presence known.

To add a softer edge to her all-denim look, North also added a pair of frilly white socks to her Isabel Marant wedge sneakers, which contrasted with her sheer black tights. She also accessorized the look with a Vivienne Westwood choker featuring the designer’s signature Orb motif and added a pair of transparent frame glasses, also from Chrome Hearts.

As far as bags are concerned, Noth left her Le Cagole and her Josephine Heart Crossbody at home and was seen carrying a rhinestoned Balenciaga Hourglass micro purse in one hand and (what we are assuming is Kim K’s) Hermès Birkin on the other. When in Rome!
