North West Just Took Maximalist Nails to the Next Level

North West is not one to shy away from divisive beauty trends, and her latest outing is the perfect proof.

Over the weekend, North West and her mother, Kim Kardashian, were spotted at the new NikeSKIMS store at The Grove in Los Angeles, and, of course, the 12-year-old was wearing an outfit faithful to her bold, maximalist style.

For the occasion, North wore a pair of massive fluffy boots from Balenciaga, which she paired with culottes, a graphic tee, as well as bug-style sunglasses, and a blag City bag, both from the brand as well.

As far as beauty goes, North took it a step further, complementing her blue braids and henna hand tattoos with a mix of some of the most out-there manicure trends: mismatched colorful 3D French tips and cake-like cluster nails.

In pictures from the mother-daughter’s buzzy sighting, which you can see here, we catch a glimpse of North’s love-it-or-hate-it manicure, which included two different sets on each hand.

Fans packed the scene to catch a glimpse of the stylish mother-daughter duo as they greeted the crowd amid the frenzy. On her left hand, North seems to have favored a super long, spiky French manicure, opting to cover each nail with a different hue, going from teal for her pinky finger to butter yellow for her thumb, with pink, white, and purple in between.

On her right hand, she opted for a more kawaii-inspired design, with what appears to be 3D white and pastel pink flowers with pink accents that completely covered her nail bed, making for a cake-frosting-esque cluster nail that you’d undoubtedly have a hard time typing with.

3D maximalist nails have been one of the biggest nail trends this year, and North’s mix-and-match spin takes it to another level. Then again, she’s favored divisive nail trends in the past, giving cluster nails a spin for the Met Gala day and duck nails a go for concert night.
