Prime Video’s ‘Cross’ Season 2 Gets an Explosive Teaser Trailer at NYCC

Prime Video used New York Comic-Con to confirm what fans were hoping: Season 2 of Cross will premiere on Wednesday, February 11, debuting three episodes at launch and rolling out weekly through March 18. The streamer also unveiled a tense new teaser that finds Aldis Hodge’s Alex Cross back on the hunt—this time tracking a vigilante executing a brutal crusade against corrupt billionaire magnates.

Created by showrunner and executive producer Ben Watkins and based on James Patterson’s best-selling Alex Cross novels, the eight-episode second season continues the Washington, D.C. crime saga with Hodge again starring and executive producing. Season 2 welcomes Matthew Lillard, Jeanine Mason, and Wes Chatham to the universe, alongside returning stars Isaiah Mustafa, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Juanita Jennings, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, and Johnny Ray Gill.

What Can We Expect From ‘Cross’ Season 2?

Season 1 closed with Cross finding long-awaited answers about his wife’s death and beginning therapy to process his grief — threads that the new season is poised to evolve. Speaking previously with Collider about the new season, Hodge reflected on what drives Alex Cross — and how he’d fare alongside another Prime Video tough guy.

“I think a crossover would be cool,” Hodge said when asked about teaming up with Alan Ritchson‘s Jack Reacher. “They definitely have different styles. Cross might have to pull Reacher back a couple times and be like, ‘Buddy, let’s use our heads. We ain’t got to bust through every single wall we see.’ But they’re both individual men on a mission — a mission of morality. They carry the weight of the world in a way nobody else understands, which is why they’re willing to throw themselves on the fire for what they believe in.”

That moral tension remains at the heart of Cross, which balances procedural thrills with introspective storytelling. Hodge’s performance as the detective and forensic psychologist continues to anchor the show’s tone—driven, wounded, and unwilling to back down. Cross is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Paramount Television Studios. Executive producers include Ben Watkins, Aldis Hodge, Sam Ernst, Jim Dunn, J. David Shanks, Aiyana White, Craig Siebels, Owen Shiflett, James Patterson, Bill Robinson, and Patrick Santa.

All episodes of Cross Season 1 are streaming exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories, with Season 2 premiering February 11.
