RAS Luxury Skincare Raises $7.5 Million in Series B Funding

PARIS — RAS Luxury Skincare, the Indian farm-to-face brand, closed a 65 Crores, or $7.5 million, Series B funding round led by Dabur Ventures.

Dabur Ventures is the venture arm of the largest Ayurvedic and natural health care company, Dabur India Ltd., which is India’s fourth-largest, fast-moving, consumer goods conglomerate. It operates in more than 60 countries,

Unilever Ventures, Unilever’s global corporate venture capital arm, invested further into RAS this round. “This indicates a strong signal of continued institutional confidence in the brand’s trajectory and potential,” RAS said in a statement.

India is one of Unilever Venture’s most important focus markets. It and Dabur Venture’s investment in RAS “reflects a broader recognition of the opportunity in India’s premium and natural skin care segment — and a shared conviction in what RAS stands for,” RAS said.

Other investors in RAS include Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund and Sixth Sense Ventures, India’s largest dedicated consumer fund.

“When we started RAS, we had a simple but stubborn belief — that you shouldn’t have to choose between what’s good for your skin, what’s good for the planet and what actually works,” said Shubhika Jain, a cofounder and chief executive officer of RAS, in the statement. “That core is the belief of everything we do.”

She said Dabur Ventures and Unilever Ventures “are organizations with deep expertise in building consumer trust at scale, and their confidence in us is both humbling and energizing.”

RAS plans to use the new capital to speed up its omnichannel presence in digital and brick-and-mortar; expand its research-and-development capabilities, especially in active botanical science to further the study of farm-grown indigenous plant actives, extraction methods and ingredient synergies, and invest in brand-building and marketing. RAS’ team will be extended across key functions.

That’s “all in the service of our longer-term goal of making RAS a name that stands for Indian luxury skin care, at home and globally,” Jain said.

RAS was established by Shubhika, Suramya and Sageeta Jain, a mother and her two daughters. It is among India’s rare, multigenerational, women-founded luxury brands.

“The founding team’s combined expertise across skin care formulation, business and sustainability has been the bedrock of RAS’ differentiated positioning, and a testament to what women-led entrepreneurship in India’s beauty sector can achieve,” the company said.

RAS operates on a fully vertical integrated model.
