Funke Akindele’s latest film, Behind The Scenes, has stormed Nigerian cinemas with a record-breaking opening weekend, grossing over ₦200 million and becoming the biggest box office debut of 2025 so far. According to FilmOne Entertainment, the movie is the first Nollywood release this year to cross the ₦200m mark in its opening weekend, while also breaking five separate opening-weekend records and posting the highest cinema admissions of the year.
