Fresh drama has erupted between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, after Daniels publicly denied allegations that she and her family stole $40,000 from his home. Speaking during a live social media broadcast on Monday, the 25-year-old actress dismissed the claims as false and questioned their plausibility, insisting that Nwoko does not keep large sums of cash at home. Daniels further alleged that her 65-year-old husband, a Delta North senator and businessman, is behind an arrest warrant reportedly issued against her, her mother Rita Daniels, her brother Sammy West, and other associates. Claudette Colvin, a pioneering figure in the American civil rights movement whose early act of defiance helped dismantle bus segregation, has died at the age of 86. Colvin passed away Tuesday while under hospice care in Texas, according to the Claudette Colvin Legacy Foundation. In a statement, the foundation and her family described her as a “beloved mother, grandmother, and civil rights pioneer,” honoring a legacy of courage that helped change the course of American history. They remembered her as wise, resilient, and deeply grounded in faith, praising her unwavering belief in justice and human dignity.

Colvin was just 15 years old when she refused to give up her seat to a white passenger on a Montgomery city bus in March 1955, nine months before Rosa Parks’ more widely recognized protest. She was forcibly removed from the bus, handcuffed, and arrested, an experience that thrust her into the center of the fight against segregation. Though she later became one of the key plaintiffs in the landmark federal case Browder v. Gayle, which led to the desegregation of buses in Montgomery and across Alabama, her role long went unrecognized. 4. Lena Waithe to make her stage acting debut with World Premiere of “trinity” in Baltimore

Emmy-winning writer and producer Lena Waithe is set to make her stage acting debut with the world premiere of “Trinity,” a new play she also wrote, opening at Baltimore Center Stage. The limited engagement will run from Feb. 12 through March 8, 2026, with the production directed by BCS Artistic Director Stevie Walker-Webb. Described by the theater as an intimate, genre-defying work, trinity unfolds in a single room where three characters drift between fantasy and reality, using role-play to confront desires and fears they struggle to face in real life. Baltimore Center Stage confirmed the production as a world premiere, marking a significant new chapter in Waithe’s creative career.

The play represents Waithe’s first major project as both a playwright and onstage performer, expanding a body of work that includes acclaimed series such as Master of None and The Chi. In a statement, Waithe called the experience “thrilling and deeply personal,” adding that trinity is about “telling the truth boldly and creating space for voices and stories that deserve to be seen and felt.” She stars alongside Courtney Sauls and Megalyn Echikunwoke, with the production aiming to blend the sharp wit of a romantic comedy with the emotional depth of an existential drama. For Waithe, the move to live theater offers a new way to engage audiences in real time while delivering the emotional honesty that has defined her work on screen.

5. Conor Gallagher completes €40m transfer to Tottenham Hotspurs from Atletico Madrid

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of England midfielder Conor Gallagher from Atlético Madrid in a deal reported to be worth €40 million.
