Nigerian singer Keshinro Ololade, better known as Lil Kesh, has reassured his fans that he is safe following reports of an attack in Lagos on Wednesday, August 20. Multiple sources claimed that the “Shoki” crooner was stabbed and robbed by assailants, who made off with millions of naira worth of jewelry. According to reports, Lil Kesh sustained a stab wound to his neck but narrowly escaped with his life.

Breaking his silence on Thursday, the artist addressed the incident on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support from his fans and industry colleagues. “Life threw me a curveball, but I’m safe, healing, and blessed to be here. Grateful for the love, support, and prayers,” Lil Kesh wrote. Despite his reassuring message, authorities have yet to release an official statement on the robbery, leaving many fans and fellow musicians anxiously awaiting further details about the incident.

Popular Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale, known for his dancehall hits, has been detained by Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) as part of an investigation linked to the purchase of a luxury Lamborghini. According to EOCO, the vehicle is linked to Nana Kwabena Amuah, a Ghanaian currently serving a prison sentence in the United States for fraud. The celebrated poet, playwright, and scholar marked her milestone birthday just last month. In a moving tribute posted on Instagram, Allen described her mother’s transformation into a “cosmic bird Hawk that lives and breathes Freedom,” reflecting on Ayers’ profound impact on both her family and the world.
