Renovated Giorgio Armani Store Reopens in São Paulo

BRAZIL BUZZ: The Giorgio Armani boutique at Shopping Cidade Jardim in São Paulo has reopened after being renovated.

The store, covering 3,240 square feet over one floor, carries men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, accessories, , eyewear and home pieces from the Casa line.

The space is divided into three rooms, each with its own color and separated by platinum portals. The first features a green and gold palette, the second is more intimate in hues from blue to green, and the third is defined by a silver palette, a central lounge and a LED wall. The made-to-measure area has a wood-finished flooring and furniture.

The reopening marks another step in the group’s ongoing commitment to the Brazilian and Latin American market, viewed as offering expansion potential for luxury brands.

As reported, the Altagamma 2026 Consensus forecasts Latin America to grow by 4.5 percent, driven by Mexico and Brazil and Bain & Co. sees expanding luxury footprints in the two countries.

Armani/Casa has also been planting flags with residential projects in the region.

Last December, the brand announced its first real estate project in Southern Brazil in an agreement with Embraed, a luxury real estate construction and development company with 40 years of experience. It consists of a 78-story building in Balneário Camboriú, a resort town in the state of Santa Caterina, on the Barra Sul waterfront and will comprise 113 residences when completed.

Also in 2024, the group partnered with real estate developer Patrimar on the design of residential units, common areas and amenities of a luxury real estate complex in Rio de Janeiro.

In September, the group introduced the Armani Residences Masaryk in Mexico City, comprising 57 exclusive units in the prestigious Polanco district, and marked the first such project in Latin America.

The Armani/Casa interior design studio has already realized residential projects in cities including Miami, London, Dubai, Beijing, Tel Aviv, Manila, Mumbai and Istanbul.

The designer, who died on Sept. 4, built a successful interior design business over more than two decades.

A first Armani hotel opened in Dubai in 2010 in the Burj Khalifa, followed by one in Milan a year later, both in a venture with Dubai-based developer Emaar Properties PJSC that was established in 2005.

The next will rise in Diriyah, a 300-year-old site located a 15-minute drive from Riyadh, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
