When in Rome, do as the Romans do and embrace the exposed bra trend — at least that seems to be the saying in Simone Ashley’s latest photo dump. On July 7, 2025, the Bridgerton star took to Instagram to post a photo recap of her first visit to the Italian capital, and of course, she did so tapping into one of summer’s most timeless trends.

Though it truly never went away, the exposed bra trend has been having a resurgence for a couple of summers now, with more and more people finding ways to tap into it — from chic high-fashion takes to sportswear-inspired casual looks.

Simone Ashley embraced the trend herself by wearing a form-fitting, bright red, ribbed dress with a turquoise, lacy bra peeking from the sides of the dress’s square neckline for added contrast. She added a pair of gold hoop earrings featuring a multiple-loop design and a tiny bag with a gold chain strap that matched her lingerie of choice.

If you have been following Simone Ashley’s style evolution for a bit, you’d know this isn’t the first time the star has worn a visible bra. Back in May, and before changing into a stunning corseted gown by Vivienne Westwood, the star rocked a white bralette with a matching mini skirt at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

The star also made a bra the star component of her Bridgerton season 3 premiere look. The look, courtesy of Milan fashion house Del Core, featured a deconstructed bodice with a focal upturned cone bra top accent.
