Kerala Blasters will be without Matias Hernandez for its home match against Jamshedpur FC on Saturday.
The decision follows an off-the-ball incident that lasted 34 minutes, during which the Spanish midfielder was involved in a physical altercation with Bengaluru FC’s Brian Sanchez. Referee Pratik Mondal issued a red card after Sanchez appeared to take a swing at Hernandez.
On Saturday, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) reviewed the incident and handed Hernandez a one-match suspension, ruling him out of the clash against Jamshedpur.
On Thursday, Sanchez’s red card was downgraded to a yellow.
Kerala Blasters is currently 13th in the table with five points.
