Electronic Arts dropped the gameplay trailer for the next “The Sims 4” expansion pack, “Adventure Awaits,” on Wednesday, revealing the vacation-themed updates many features — including imaginary friends that can turn into real people.
Per EA’s description for the pack, which is releasing Oct. 2, “‘The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits’ Expansion Pack welcomes Simmers to the adventurous world of Gibbi Point, where Sims can experience Getaways at Camp Gibbi Gibbi, Revive & Thrive and Love Highland, or create their own Custom Venues. In this immersive world, Sims can build their Papercraft, Entomology, Diving and Archery Skills, and even start a career as a Park Worker to set them on an exciting career path in the outdoors. Whether Sims are seeking thrilling experiences, looking for a little competition or just need a break from the everyday, countless new adventures await!”
The fall release of “Adventure Awaits” comes on the heels of the July launch for the fairy-themed “Enchanted by Nature” expansion pack, which was proceeded by March’s “Businesses & Hobbies” and October 2024’s “Life & Death.”
“Adventure Awaits” will be priced at $39.99, the going rate for EA’s “The Sims 4” expansion packs, and available Oct. 2 on the EA app, Epic Games Store, and Steam, as well as for console on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One systems.
