‘Walk The Line’ Studio Versa Expands London Site
UK-based production studio Versa Studios is expanding its London site after acquiring an additional 200,000 square feet of space adjacent to its existing location in Ealing, West London.
The studio has said it will house the production of the long-running reality show Big Brother, including the Celebrity edition and the nightly Big Brother Late & Live shows, which will be filmed at the original Versa London studio.
Today’s expansion brings Versa’s total studio space across the UK to 600,000 square feet. The studio also holds facilities in Manchester and Leeds. The studio previously served as the home of Simon Cowell‘s ITV format Walk The Line. Other productions on the Versa lot include BBC Morning Live, Bullseye, Martin Lewis Live, The John Bishop Show, Justin’s House, Walk the Line, Celebability, Life Stories with Kate Garraway, BAFTA-winning Friday Night Live, and Saturday Night Takeaway.
Versa was established in 2018, first operating at Granada Studios in Manchester – the former home of Granada Television and ITV.
Charlie Ingall, Executive Director, VERSA Studios, said: “VERSA’s expansion in London has been part of our ambitious growth strategy, and it further elevates our business as a first choice for large-scale, high-profile productions such as Big Brother. The significant investment we have made in this expansion gives us the ability to create long-term homes for our clients, and in turn, support the TV and Film community.”
