There are numerous villains rumored for the upcoming Spider-Man 4, but how do the makers plan to place so many major villains from the Spider-Man universe in the same movie? Insider Alex Perez might just have the answer for this.
Spider-Man 4 rumor teases why most villains will have a small role
While rumors from Spider-Man 4 have thrown many names in the hat, there has yet to be a confirmation about the primary villain. Previously, many believed Mr. Negative would take on that role, but now it does not look likely.
But apart from the primary villain, how does the film plan to integrate the five or six rumored villains in the same story? Reportedly, it is going to take the same path as The Fantastic Four: First Steps, as per Alex Perez.
Perez revealed that most of the villains teased for the upcoming MCU movie will appear in an opening montage that will track Peter’s journey after the events of No Way Home. In this montage sequence, much like the one in Fantastic Four, many of Spider-Man’s recurring villains would be introduced.
Perez said in a Q&A session on The Cosmic Circus, “The idea behind the multiple side villains that we’re seeing reported by multiple scoopers isn’t because scoopers are confused. A good majority of those villains being reported are meant to be a part of an opening montage similar to The Fantastic Four: First Steps, where we would see Spider-Man take on these villains over the years since No Way Home, and we’ll see how with each passing battle, Peter would upgrade his suit, reaching the one we see in Brand New Day.”
So, the rest of the movie will primarily feature the main villain, alongside the Punisher, Scorpion, and Hulk.
The movie will premiere on July 31, 2025.
