The Young and the Restless viewers might finally see Victor‘s seal of approval for Kyle and Claire‘s budding romance. During a recent cast interview, Hayley Erin (Claire) and Michael Mealor (Kyle) teased their characters’ relationship progression.

Viewers think Victor’s approval would mark a significant shift in the plotline, given his typically protective stance toward family connections.

Will Victor finally accept Kyle and Claire’s relationship in The Young and the Restless?

Victor Newman might finally approve of Kyle and Claire’s relationship in The Young and the Restless. Currently, Claire’s plan to impress Victor by throwing a lavish birthday party for Nikki is working well. She thinks that Kyle’s toast has moved Eric Braeden’s character.

However, Kyle thinks that Victor would not believe his words, as he is an Abbott. Later, Nikki requests that Victor talk to Kyle. She urges, “Victor, please. Talk to Kyle. Do it for me.” With Nikki siding with Kyle and Claire, viewers think that Victor might finally say yes to the young couple’s romance.

Speaking of the mega plan, actress Hayley Erin revealed to Soap Opera Digest, “Claire’s all-in.” Mealor added a hint for viewers, gushing, “Yeah, Claire is convinced that it’s going to work, that’s for sure.”

The actor also explained how Kyle and Claire’s perspectives differ on this issue. While Claire is “convinced” that Victor will finally support her relationship, Kyle thinks that Victor is not someone who can budge easily.

Mealor noted, “I think Kyle is anything but convinced.” He added, “And from Kyle’s point of view, he knows Victor very well from… forever, basically. He knows that when Victor makes up his mind, it’s in stone, and so I think Kyle is really trying to come up with some inventive new way to show his love to Claire.”

Erin delved into Claire’s perspective further. She said, “From her (Claire’s) point of view, it’s only a matter of time before they change Victor’s mind. But it’s definitely her perspective alone.”

Meanwhile, viewers have mixed opinions about Victor’s stubbornness and Claire’s constant wish for her grandfather’s approval. A fan of The Young and the Restless opined on Reddit, “Claire’s determination to get Victor to accept her relationship with Kyle is so tiresome. Everyone who’s known Victor much longer keeps telling her to stop wasting her time. Yet she keeps living in her dream world.”

Another viewer stated, “I really thought Claire would be the one to give Victor a run for his money. She was so confident, pushing back against him. And still thinking that Victor will accept Kyle. So disappointed.”
