10 Iconic Suits We Need in the Next Spider-Man Video Game

10 Iconic Suits We Need in the Next Spider-Man Video Game

One of the best things about a Spider-Man video game is the fact that almost every single one gives players the chance to play in some of their favorite suits from the movies and comics from the character’s expansive mythology. Everyone’s got a favorite Spidey suit, and getting to experience the adventure wearing them is always such a treat.

Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have all given players many awesome suits. However, plenty of iconic costumes from the comic books remain missing from the gaming canon, meaning fans haven’t had the chance to put them on just yet. Fear not, because with Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 on the way, there’s still plenty of time to make sure players get to have the suits they yearn to see in the next game.

The Vibranium Suit (Miles Morales)

Recently, in Marvel Comics, Miles Morales was infected by a vampire, and the only way to channel this new character change was to wear a vibranium suit, gifted to him by Black Panther. He wore it for quite some time, and people grew to really enjoy it, especially with the way the colors change based on how much bioelectrical energy Miles is using.

Miles isn’t like Peter Parker in the sense that he has a plethora of suits to choose from in his comic mythology. After all, he was only introduced in 2011. Yet, he still has a few killer looks, most notably this undeniably badass fit. If the team over at Insomniac Games wants to make sure to keep some variety in Miles’ costume closet for the next game, they’ll pretty much need the Vibranium Suit.

The Ultimate Spider-Man (2024) Suit (Peter Parker)

One of the most popular comic books of the last five years is Ultimate Spider-Man (2024). This new Ultimate Marvel Universe was very well-received (for the time it actually existed), and the highlight was, by far, the new Spider-Man. This novel iteration gave fans everything they were looking for in a Spider-Man comic—Peter and Mary Jane Watson actually being married and having kids, giving him the chance to grow past their 30s.

The costume is also a major highlight of this new variant. He wears a costume that is very Steve Ditko Spider-Man inspired, embracing tradition in every way. The costume is beautiful, and fans have already been begging for a Ditko-influenced suit in the video games. If the game developers don’t plan on doing so, this Ultimate Spider-Man costume may be the closest fans get.

The Captain Universe Suit (Peter Parker and Miles Morales)

Spider-Man doesn’t always get a massive, world-breaking power-up, but when he does, it’s usually via the Captain Universe powers: the Enigma Force. Along the way, he typically gets a really cool costume. This change has happened to both Peter and Miles on separate occasions in their comic book histories.

Peter first got the Captain Universe powers and costume in Spectacular Spider-Man #158 (1989), and Miles obtained them in Spider-Geddon #5 (2018). It could be a suit that both Miles and Peter get in the next Marvel’s Spider-Man game. People genuinely do love the Captain Universe suit and would be overjoyed to see it make an appearance whenever Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 makes its debut.

The Unlimited Suit (Peter Parker)

The one and only Spider-Man Unlimited is a far more niche Spider-Man television series than the rest. Bringing the Wall-Crawler to space with a whole new nanotech suit, this show was weird, wacky, and futuristic, which is reflected in the cool suit he equips for the journey. With a web cape and a unique color scheme, the Spider-Man Unlimited suit is a favorite of the cult following behind the series.

Few Spidey suits have ever looked like this one, which makes it a perfect potential addition to Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. It’s so singular, to the point where it looks like a completely different hero at first glance; yet, all the classic elements are there, just reinterpreted. Not only would it please the fans of this fun series, but the awesome design would draw in people who haven’t seen the show, either. Come on… it doesn’t get much cooler than a web cape.

The Ultimate Spider-Man (2000) Suit (Peter Parker)

While the newer Ultimate Spider-Man (2024) series was a huge hit, the original Ultimate Spider-Man (2000) remains the best. There’s a reason that people were initially excited about the 2024 series before they knew what the story entailed, and that’s because the title alone brought excitement into people’s hearts. This coming-of-age series is beyond favored.

While it may seem like the classic red and blue on the surface, the Ultimate Spider-Man’s costume has a different spider emblem, different shades of red and blue, and, most notable, gigantic eye lenses. This last part is the most recognizable aspect of this costume, and dozens of people scramble for the mods of the PC version of the game that includes this suit. People want it badly, so it’s time for Insomniac Games to hear them out and get it added to the next entry.

Your Hero Has Been Identified
Your MCU Hero Is…

Based on your answers, the Marvel hero who matches your spirit, values, and instincts has been revealed.

Queens, New York

🕷️ Spider-Man

You carry the weight of the world on shoulders that are younger than they should have to be — funny, loyal, and endlessly self-sacrificing.

  • You do the right thing not because it’s easy, but because no one else will.
  • You understand that responsibility isn’t a burden you choose — it’s one that finds you.
  • Whether it’s a neighbourhood mugging or a multiverse crisis, you show up.
  • Peter Parker’s lesson — that great power demands great responsibility — isn’t a slogan to you. It’s the code you live by, even when it costs you everything.

Hell’s Kitchen, New York

😈 Daredevil

You fight in the shadows between law and chaos, guided by a fierce moral compass that refuses to let the guilty walk free.

  • You use every tool available — your mind, your body, your faith — to protect those the system overlooks.
  • You’ve looked into the darkness and chosen not to become it, though the line has never been easy.
  • Matt Murdock’s duality — champion in the courtroom, devil in the alley — mirrors your own.
  • Relentless, conflicted, and unwilling to stop. That is exactly you.

Stark Industries, Malibu

🤖 Iron Man

Brilliant, driven, and occasionally insufferable — but always the person who solves the unsolvable problem.

  • You lead with your mind and back it up with resources, innovation, and a stubbornness that borders on heroic.
  • You started out looking out for yourself, but somewhere along the way the world became your responsibility.
  • Tony Stark’s arc — from ego to sacrifice — is your arc too.
  • You build, you plan, and when the moment comes, you’re willing to give everything. Because in the end, you’re Iron Man.

New York City

💀 The Punisher

You’ve been through fire that would break most people — and it did change you, completely. What’s left is unyielding, relentless, and operating by a code forged in grief.

  • You don’t ask for forgiveness, and you don’t expect gratitude.
  • You see a corrupt, broken world and you’ve decided to do something about it, consequences be damned.
  • Frank Castle’s war is born from love twisted by loss — and so is yours.
  • Uncompromising and unflinching — the world may not agree with your methods, but your conviction is absolute.

Asgard · Protector of the Nine Realms

⚡ Thor

Powerful, proud, and on a lifelong journey to become worthy of the legend you carry.

  • You lead with strength but have learned — sometimes painfully — that true greatness comes from humility and growth.
  • You’re larger than life, yet more vulnerable than you let on.
  • Thor’s story is one of transformation: from arrogant prince to worthy king, from isolated warrior to beloved protector.
  • You bring the storm when it’s needed — and the warmth when it matters just as much.

Brooklyn, New York · The Avengers

🛡️ Captain America

You believe in something bigger than yourself — and you fight for it even when the world has moved on and nobody else will.

  • You don’t bully the small guy, and you never stop when it gets hard.
  • Steve Rogers didn’t become a hero when he got the serum — he was always one. So were you.
  • Your strength isn’t in your fists; it’s in your refusal to compromise what’s right, no matter the cost.
  • In a world full of people taking the easy road, you’re the one who picks up the shield and stands up — every single time.

The Marvel Rivals Suit (Peter Parker)

When Marvel Rivals hit the scene, people were ecstatic. A hero shooter with Marvel characters? Sign us up! A character that fans were especially excited about was none other than the Web-Slinger himself. The Spider-Man (Yuri Lowenthal) in Marvel Rivals wears a suit with some interesting design philosophies compared to others.

With a far larger spider than a typical Spidey suit—which actually aligns a good bit with the main costume’s design philosophies in the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise—and very scattered red and blue segments, this costume certainly stands out in Peter Parker’s closet. With how many people play Marvel Rivals—making this design incredibly recognizable—it only makes sense that they include this suit in the next Spider-Man video game adventure.

‘Spider-Man’ (2002) Alex Ross Concept Suit (Peter Parker)

While a little more niche than other Spider-Man suits, the fandom has held quite a soft spot for Alex Ross‘ concept art design for Spidey in the first Sam Raimi Spider-Man movie. It’s one of the first suits to really utilize a lot of black instead of blue, and segments its red in a more angular manner.

The costume also has a gigantic spider, red web shooters, and all-black eye lenses. It’s a phenomenally distinct suit and continues to be incredibly beloved to this day despite not actually being canon. It even went on to inspire the second costume worn in the Superior Spider-Man (2013) comic book run. This niche version is such a unique and cool costume that it is certain to be a hit among fans far and wide.

While Miles Morales (Nadji Jeter) has a Prowler-esque suit in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, fans yearn for the young legacy hero to have a Prowler outfit. They finally got one in cinema with the huge character reveal at the end of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and it serves to be the perfect costume to bring into Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.

Earth-42 Miles Morales’ (Jharrel Jerome) Prowler costume is very Spider-Man-like, making it a great fit for the costume selection in the third PlayStation entry. With how huge Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is going to be, and the release potentially landing close to Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 (if the world is lucky enough), it would be a great collaboration. The three games that have already come prior have adapted the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse suits, so it only makes sense that it will apply to game four, as well.

The Sensational Spider-Man Suit (Peter Parker)

One of the most beloved alternate Spider-Men to take up the mantle from Peter is none other than his iconic clone, Ben Reilly. Most commonly known as the Scarlet Spider, this blonde-haired Wall-Crawler is a fan favorite, with some legendary suits under his belt. While his Scarlet Spider outfits have been brought into the games already, they’ve yet to include the suit Ben wore when he was officially called Spider-Man.

Also known as The Sensational Spider-Man, Ben’s time as the Web-Slinger is well-known among comic book fans, and this costume is known by most as one of the most well-designed alternate Spider-Man fits. It does a great job at being a distinct suit that is vastly different from Peter’s, while still clearly being Spidey threads—which is exactly what a good costume redesign needs to be.

The Spectacular Spider-Man Suit (Peter Parker)

The Spectacular Spider-Man is, by far, the most appreciated and beloved Spider-Man television series ever made. With movements across the internet to get Sony Pictures Entertainment to make a third season, fan love was strong enough to get him included in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and with exceptional writing, the adoration for this show seems never-ending.

The Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise is no stranger to bringing animated series suits into the fold, having already included the Miles Morales costume from the Ultimate Spider-Man television series in the past. The same could easily be done with The Spectacular Spider-Man outfit, and fans have already made plenty of mods to get this suit in the second game. If it isn’t clear that this suit deserves an inclusion, the world’s gone blind.
