Dec 14, 2025; Santa Clara, California, USA; San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams (71) enters the field prior to the first half against the Tennessee Titans at Levi’s Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Cary Edmondson-Imagn Images San Francisco 49ers left tackle Trent Williams agreed to a two-year, $50 million extension, his agency confirmed Monday.
The 12-time Pro Bowl selection’s contract includes $37 million fully guaranteed and a $22 million signing bonus, according to Elite Loyalty Sports.
Williams, who turns 38 in July, is now signed through the 2028 season. He becomes the first non-quarterback in NFL history to eclipse $400 million in contract value and $225 million in guarantees, per his agency.
The 49ers declined to exercise a $10 million option bonus for Williams last month. He is due a base salary of $22.2 million for 2026 with a salary cap number of $38.84 million.
Drafted No. 4 overall by Washington in 2010, Williams is a three-time first-team All-Pro who has played in 204 games (203 starts) with Washington (2010-18) and San Francisco. He started 16 games last season, his most since the 2013 campaign.

Mumbai Indians’ Tilak Varma smashed his maiden century in the IPL against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Monday.
It was a batting display of the highest order by Tilak after coming into bat when MI was reeling at 46/3 in six overs.
The middle order batter, who has not been in the best of form this season, struggled for timing and rhythm in the initial part of his innings but after the second strategic timeout, Tilak unleashed an array of shots and brought up his century with a boundary on the last ball of the innings.
The 23-year-old brought up his century in just 45 balls, which is the joint fastest century by an MI batter along with Sanath Jayasuriya.
Tilak’s barrage at the death, where MI scored 96 runs in six overs, helped the side post a formidable 200-run target for GT to chase.

Mandatory Credit: Eric Hartline-Imagn Images Steelers left tackle Broderick Jones will be examined this week after suffering a setback during his recovery from a season-ending neck injury, ESPN reported Monday.
The tests will help to determine his availability for training camp and the start of the regular season, per the report.
Jones, who turns 25 next month, landed on injured reserve on Nov. 29 after injuring his neck in Pittsburgh’s Week 12 loss at Chicago. He missed the final six games of the season.
Jones started the first 11 games last season as quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ left tackle, playing 97% of the offensive snaps before getting hurt. He has started 38 of 45 regular-season games and both playoff games since being drafted in the first round (14th overall) in 2023.

Sri Lanka all-rounder Dasun Shanaka, who withdrew from this year’s Pakistan Super League and later joined Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, has been banned from the next edition of the PSL, the Pakistan Cricket Board said on Monday.
Shanaka is the latest international player to be suspended after leaving the PSL and joining the Indian league, which runs almost simultaneously, after Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani got a two-year ban earlier this month.
The Pakistani board said in a statement that 34-year-old Shanaka, who captained Sri Lanka in this year’s T20 World Cup, had unilaterally withdrawn from the PSL last month.

“The findings indicated that the withdrawal was made on grounds not recognised within the existing contractual framework,” it said.
Shanaka, who is yet to appear for Rajasthan this season, said in a statement that he deeply regretted the decision to withdraw, and had no intention of joining any other tournament when he pulled out of the PSL.
“I hope to return to the PSL in the future with renewed dedication and the trust of the fans,” he added.

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel hugs Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (11) as the teams get ready to face off at Lincoln Financial Field Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, in Philadelphia, Pa.
Nfl Tennessee Titans At Philadelphia Eagles A.J. Brown isn’t on the move yet, but the long-rumored trade target could be landing in New England this summer.
ESPN reported Brown is “likely” to be traded to the Patriots from the Eagles in June, when the contract and cap ramifications are less severe for Philadelphia.
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman and head coach Nick Sirianni have been singing a similar tune on the trade rumors. Most recently, Roseman said at his pre-draft press conference that “A.J. Brown is a member of the Eagles.”
“From my perspective, anything you ask me about A.J. Brown, I’m going to go right back to that answer,” he said.
Brown’s frustrations with the Philadelphia offense have been well documented over the past couple of seasons.
But there’s a reason Roseman is riding the brakes on making such a deal: The dead cap hit for trading him before June 1 is more than $40 million. It is about $20 million after that date.
Brown, 28, averaged 72.5 catches and 1,041 receiving yards in the past two seasons, compared to 97.0 and 1,476 in his first two seasons with Philadelphia from 2022-23.
Brown played for the Titans when Mike Vrabel was Tennessee’s head coach prior to being traded to the Eagles for multiple draft picks in April 2022. Vrabel and the Patriots are in the market for a lead receiver.

Samir Zeljković, Effiong Nsungusi Jr and Bede Osuji scored for the Shers as they moved to 14 points from eight matches, consolidating seventh place. Inter Kashi remained eighth with 11 points from nine matches. Zeljković was named Player of the Match.
Punjab started on the front foot, with Bede Osuji central to its attacking play. Twice in the opening ten minutes, Osuji’s backheel flicks released Dani Ramírez inside the box, but Inter Kashi goalkeeper Lluis Tarrés reacted well to deny the Spaniard.
The host controlled possession, with Manglenthang Kipgen dictating play from midfield, while Nsungusi Jr and Osuji troubled the Inter Kashi defence. Inter Kashi threatened intermittently, with Tomba Singh and Narender Gahlot going close from set-pieces.
The breakthrough came in the 37th minute. Pramveer Singh won possession near halfway and initiated an attack down the left, finding Osuji, who combined with Nsungusi Jr inside the box. After a brief tussle, Nsungusi regained control and squared the ball to Zeljković, who finished with his right foot.
Inter Kashi attempted to respond before the break, with Alfred Planas and Sergio Llamas combining well, but Arshdeep Singh ensured Punjab carried its lead into half-time.
Punjab doubled its lead in the 51st minute after a midfield error. Ramírez drove into the box from the left and cut the ball back to Nsungusi Jr, who finished from close range.

The third goal came in the 72nd minute. Substitute Leon Augustine drove forward from the left and found Osuji, who turned inside the box and struck into the top corner.
Punjab managed the closing stages comfortably, maintaining shape at the back. Inter Kashi struggled to create clear chances, resorting to long balls that were dealt with by the defence.
Punjab nearly added a fourth in stoppage time, with Vinit Rai hitting the woodwork, while Ranjeet Singh Pandre was denied in a one-on-one.
Punjab FC secured a 3-0 win to stay within reach of the top half, while Inter Kashi will look to regroup after a performance where it struggled to convert chances.

Mandatory Credit: Geoff Burke-Imagn Images Britain’s Jack Draper withdrew Monday from this week’s tournament in Madrid and next month’s event in Rome due to a knee injury.
Draper, 24, did not play in Monte Carlo earlier this month and was forced to retire in the third set of his first-round match at Barcelona last week.
“An aggravated tendon in my knee means I am not able to play in Madrid and Rome,” Draper said. “It’s frustrating for sure, but I am thankful it isn’t anything more serious.
“Recovery is going well and I feel good about my chances of being fit for Roland Garros. I am looking forward to building momentum from there.”
The three-time ATP Tour title winner has a 5-4 singles record in 2026 but has not won a match since beating Novak Djokovic in the Round of 16 at Indian Wells on March 11.
Ranked as high as No. 4 in the world last June, Draper has dropped to No. 28 and will fall farther with these withdrawals. His best finish in a grand slam was his semifinal appearance at the 2024 U.S. Open.
