“It appears there’s been a massive bank job on Edgware Road!” Roadside + Saban have posted their official US trailer for the action thriller movie titled Fuze, arriving in US theaters to watch in April. The latest from acclaimed director David Mackenzie (Starred Up, Hell or High Water, Outlaw King, Relay). An unexploded WWII bomb is discovered on a busy construction site in the centre of London. Chaos ensues as the military and police begin a mass evacuation against a ticking clock. But the real story is hiding within – a group of men, under the guidance of diamond-expert Karalis, are hiding out inside a basement within the evacuation zone. It’s about a big jewel heist under cover of the ultimate distraction. This stars Theo James, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. Along with Sam Worthington, Elham Ehsas, and Honor Swinton Byrne. This first premiered at TIFF last year – they state: “In the tradition of gritty thrillers that fuse whodunnits with the time-sensitive conventions of heist & action movies, Fuze is a truly wild ride.” Not sure if this will be any good, as it seems like it’s just going all over the place, but I’m interested nonetheless.

When a World War II bomb is discovered in central London a team of military experts led by Will (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), are sent in to investigate & defuse. A huge police operation is put into action to evacuate thousands of residents. Amidst the chaos of the situation a group of men, under the guidance of diamond-expert Karalis (Theo James), are hiding out in a basement within the evacuation zone. With emergency services stretched to the limit and the bomb ready to explode, the group begin an audacious jewel heist under cover of the ultimate London distraction. Fuze is directed by acclaimed British filmmaker David Mackenzie, director of the movies Young Adam, Hallam Foe, Spread, Perfect Sense, Tonight You’re Mine, Starred Up, Hell or High Water, Outlaw King, and Relay, as well as the series “Homemade” and “Under the Banner of Heaven”. The screenplay is written by Ben Hopkins (Marionette, In Search of Monsters, Inside, Limonov). Produced by Gillian Berrie, Callum Grant, David Mackenzie, & Sébastien Raybaud. This initially premiered at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival last year and in Palm Springs. Roadside Attractions + Saban Films will debut David Mackenzie’s Fuze movie in US theaters starting April 24th, 2026. Want to watch?
