Zooming in further, it seems like what we’re dealing with here is some kind of perpetual calendar situation. (We can’t completely rule out an annual calendar, though this would be unusual for a solid-gold watch with a matching bracelet from a high-end brand.) The aforementioned 6 o’clock subdial is most definitely a moonphase display, while the one at 3 o’clock shows the days of the week; the 9 o’clock subdial shows the date; and the 12 o’clock subdial appears to show the month as well as something else within two apertures at its center… the year perhaps, or leap years? Or maybe it’s not an aperture at all?

Whatever the particulars, this watch is hella good-looking, and it appears to have a sub-40mm silhouette with a smooth bezel, a small crown, and an integrated H-link bracelet in matching gold. Combine that with a well-designed champagne dial, and I ask you: Is there any among you who would not happily wear such a timepiece?

Whatever it is, we may not have to wait much longer to find out. With Watches and Wonders just around the corner, we’re going to be keeping a close eye on Jaeger-LeCoultre—and Pattinson—for clues.
