Lovely Trailer for Series ‘Babies’ with Paapa Essiedu & Siobhan Cullen

“This isn’t gonna change us. I feel like we should start trying again…” BBC has unveiled their official trailer a for new series soon titled Babies, a BBC TV production about a couple. This “gripping, tender, urgent love story” follows one couple as they go through the drama of trying to have a baby. Starring Paapa Essiedu (seen in The Outrun, “Black Mirror”) & Siobhan Cullen (seen in “Bodkin”) as Stephen & Lisa. They learn to navigate pregnancy loss amid everyday life. Through grief & isolation, their bond grows stronger as they find healing through hope, humor, and love. The series also features Charlotte Riley & Jack Bannon as Amanda & Dave – a new couple navigating their own challenges, testing their compatibility. Their complex relationship, set against Lisa & Stephen’s ongoing pregnancy journey, begins to expose cracks in Stephen & Dave’s long-standing friendship. I feel there’s such a warm, wholesome chemistry between Essiedu & Cullen which makes this so watchable. I’m intrigued even if it all seems a bit cliche & melodramatic. Worth a look.
