“Maybe we’ll meet – up there.” “Maybe we’ll all meet up there…” Break Out Pictures has debuted an official trailer for a film titled The Three Urns from Ireland, a road trip comedy from two Irish filmmakers. This premiered at the 2026 Dublin Film Festival and opens in Ireland starting in April, though still no word on when it will show up in the US for release. Back in his home country to spread the ashes of his beloved wife, a man races to his destination. In a milk float. Chased by a beautiful French woman in a smart car, plagued with battery issues. Written and directed by filmmaker John-Paul Davidson and Oscar-winning composer Stephen Warbeck, this gentle character piece turns a pilgrimage into a moving search for connection and meaning. The great Irish actor Ciaran Hinds stars as “The Man” back home in Ireland, along with Olga Kurylenko, Lisa Dwan, Stephen Dillane, Stephen Fry, Sinéad Cusack, Ingeborga Dapkunaite. This looks charming and amusing – a good romp through Ireland meeting plenty of kooky characters. Enjoy.

A grieving widower sets off on a quiet journey home, only to find the road filled with unexpected company. In this whimsical Irish road tale, Ciarán Hinds plays a man returning to Ireland after years in France following the death of his wife, encountering an eclectic cast of strangers along the way. From wandering priests and horse traders to mystic gatherings and traveling artists, each stop adds another layer to a journey shaped by memory, loss, and renewal. The Three Urns is co-written and co-directed by filmmakers John-Paul Davidson (director of Boys from Brazil, Gentlemen Don’t Eat Poets, The Sweatbox, Seve: The Movie) & Stephen Warbeck, both directors of The Man in the Hat previously making their second feature film together. Produced by David Collins and Eamon Hughes. This just premiered at the 2026 Dublin Film Festival earlier this year.
