Cyberpunk 2077 Officially Returns In November With A New Multi-Part Adventure

If you thought the world of Cyberpunk 2077 was drying up, you’ve got another thing coming. The epic action RPG will return six years old this year, and to celebrate, CD Projekt Red is welcoming a special new release in the fall. While Netflix works on its own comeback with Cyberpunk Edgerunners, the team at Dark Horse has its own new Cyberpunk 2077 series in the works.

According to the comic publisher’s most recent listings, it is set to release Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome in full this fall. The horror spin-off will show a new side of Night City, so fans will not want to miss the ambitious new series.

Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome Releases in Full This November

Written by Doug Wagner, Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome will hit the big leagues on November 3, 2026, with its own collected trade. The collection will pull together Wagner’s original issues of Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome, which he made with artist Tommaso Bennato, colorist Rico Renzi, and letterer Frank Cvetkovic. This collection will go live months after the series’ debut, as Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome brought issue #1 to shelves in January 2026.

With four issues planned, this new Cyberpunk 2077 spin-off is already earning rave reviews from readers, marking another successful entry to the franchise. To date, Dark Horse has overseen the release of several hit Cyberpunk titles, which are the first stories dating back to late 2020. Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team started the craze with writer Cullen Bunn, and Dark Horse has gone on to publish seven other spin-offs set in the universe.

Cyberpunk 2077 As A Horror? Sign Us Up

Of course, all the game’s spin-offs have a unique angle, and the same goes for Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome. The ongoing comic is a love letter to horror movies as it follows a group of four friends who make the questionable decision to hang out in a Night City landfill. Unafraid of the spot’s haunting reputation, the gang stands their ground at the landfill and finds the dump is filled with worse things than ghosts. From rogue killers to bloody gangs, the landfill is teeming with unholy terror, forcing the friends to survive the night.

For more information on Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome, Dark Horse has put together an official synopsis for its upcoming trade. You can read the blurb below:

“Four friends, including a netrunner, a fire graffiti artist, an aspiring rockerboy, and an autotechie, set off for a pre-em photoshoot at a landfill, where, among heaps of rubbish, scrap, and metal, they’ll find a shot to die for! Rumor has it the place is haunted, and they’re about to find out. In Night City, there are things far more frightening than ghosts. With a mysterious killer on the loose and a ruthless gang occupying the grounds, their night of fun and mischief becomes a fight for survival!”

While Cyberpunk 2077 keeps fans busy with this ragtag group of friends, the franchise is doing hard work behind the scenes. In 2022, reports confirmed the series’ plans for a sequel. The game entered pre-production in mid-2025, but outside this update, few details about the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel are known. No word has been given on when the game will release, but netizens are hopeful the next-gen title will hit PCs (and consoles) before 2030.
