From deep indigo to electric cyan, Simone Bellotti is injecting more color into the traditionally understated Jil Sander palette.

Simone Bellotti has released the campaign for his debut Spring/Summer 2026 collection at Jil Sander. This imagery cements the new direction for the German house following the departure of Luke and Lucie Meier in early 2025.

2025 marked the end of the Meiers’ nearly decade-long tenure and the beginning of Bellotti’s return to the brand’s authentic Hamburg roots^{. He isn’t interested in maintaining the atmospheric mood of his predecessors; he is looking at the physical mechanics of wearing clothes.}

Clothes, for Bellotti, are about interaction. “A curiosity for the body is what I am after. Posture and gesture as ways of communicating, clothes that invite to get close, that hide and reveal,” he says^.

Revealing the body takes literal form in the lineup. Slashed maxi skirts and translucent aqua dresses expose skin, while men’s leather shirting offers a structured, protective counterweight^.

Weighty materials and sheer fabrics get disrupted by a sharp injection of color. Electric blue, deep indigo, and cyan break up the minimalism, standing out against the void-like setting of the images^.
