'Tropicoqueta,' Sheer Dresses and Bieber Fever Took Over Coachella 2026 Street Style

Coachella style has come a long way from the Tumblr-inspired flower crowns, wide-brimmed hats and Vanessa Hudgens-coded maxi skirts of the 2010s. At Weekend One of this year’s festival, we spotted a few of those nostalgic trends, but the most dominant fashion choice amongst the crowd was wearing as little as possible.

With rising temperatures playing a crucial role in people’s outfit decision-making, bras and bikinis sufficed as tops, while barely-there mini skirts, fully see-through lace pieces and micro shorts were the most popular choices for bottoms. But a lack of clothing doesn’t imply a lack of sartorial planning. Ahead of the weekend, festival goers scoured Pinterest for styling inspiration: Searches for “sheer skirt outfit street styles” surged 60% year-over-year on the platform, while searches for “belt charms” (likely inspired by Katseye) went up 40%, and searches for “silly T-shirts” (perhaps spurred by Addison Rae’s Britney Spears-esque paparazzi photo) rose by 65%.

Standout tees in Rae’s mainstage crowd included phrases like “Need money for pur$e” and “Here for fame.” Justin Bieber merchandise was everywhere, too, whether it was new pieces from his SKYLRK brand (one of the weekend’s longest pop-up lines) or vintage tour tops pulled out of Beliebers’ archives. And on Day 3, Karol G listeners brought their “Tropicoqueta” A-game. (Searches for outfits inspired by the singer’s aesthetic soared by 105% leading up to her Sunday night set). Fans integrated various Latin American flags, airbrush-style swimsuits, animal print, feathers and plenty of body glitter into their looks.

Below, see all the best street style we spotted during Weekend One of the 2026 Coachella Music Festival.
