“He’s not leaving until the people hunting the girl are dead.” Creasy is back in action! Netflix has debut the full official trailer for their new Man on Fire series – yep, based on the same story turned into everyone’s favorite Denzel Washington movie from a while back. This new Man on Fire stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as the titular “Man on Fire”, John Creasy, a former elite mercenary with PTSD. This takes place mostly down in Brazil. The series follows John Creasy, a wounded former mercenary on a quest to get revenge for the loss of his only companion while defending the daughter of his dead colleague from the forces that tore her family apart. The action-packed thriller series launches April 30th. Also starring Billie Boullet, Bobby Cannavale, Alice Braga, Scoot McNairy, and Paul Ben-Victor. Based on A.J. Quinnell’s book series, which was adapted a few times before: into the 1987 movie starring Scott Glenn as Creasy & again in 2004 starring Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning. This looks worth watching mainly for Yahya, because he’s always badass, and Braga, who is also superly talented. To keep her safe, he’ll burn it all down. Bring it on.

“When they crossed him, they lit the wrong match.” Adapted from A.J. Quinnell’s book series, Man on Fire tells the story of John Creasy. Once a high-functioning and skilled Special Forces Mercenary, known for surviving even the most desolate of situations, Creasy is now plagued with intense PTSD. Determined to overcome his personal demons, he sets out on a path to redemption. But, before he can adjust to this new life, he finds himself back in the fire, fighting harder than ever. Man on Fire is a new series created & written & showrun by screenwriter Kyle Killen (The Beaver, Scenic Route, “Awake”, “Mind Games”, “Halo” series). Based on the “Creasy” book series written by A.J. Quinnell, first published in 1980. With episodes directed by Vicente Amorim, Clare Kilner, and Michael Cuesta. Executive produced by Kyle Killen, Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan, and Natalie Lehmann for New Regency Productions. Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and Tracey Cook for Chernin Entertainment. Kyle Killen and Scott Pennington for Chapter Eleven; Steven Caple Jr., Ed McDonnell, Michael Polaire, Stacy Perskie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Netflix debuts this new Man on Fire series streaming on Netflix worldwide starting April 30th, 2026 coming up. Look any good?
