Under the sport’s Concorde Agreement, the teams split approximately 45% of F1’s total commercial revenue at the end of the season, divided based on how they finished in the Constructors’ Championship standings. According to estimates, McLaren took home around $161 million at the end of the 2024 season, when they stood atop the Formula 1 world. That number jumped to nearly $165 million the following year, when McLaren repeated as champions.

In addition to the results in the standings, teams can also secure historic and legacy bonuses at the end of the season, based on their contributions to F1 history, and their results over longer periods. For example, despite finishing fourth in the Constructors’ Championship standings in 2025, Ferrari received the largest payout a year ago, thanks to a legacy bonus as well as a long-term performance reward.
