The White Sox placed outfielder Everson Pereira on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a right pectoral strain.

In a corresponding move, Chicago called up outfielder Jarred Kelenic from Triple-A Charlotte ahead of its series finale against the visiting Los Angeles Angels.


Pereira, 25, is batting .250 with three homers, four doubles and seven RBIs in 18 games in his first season with the White Sox.
