The ‘90s had some of the best sitcoms, but in many cases, the title of the show included the name of the main character. Just think of Clarissa Explains It All and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, where Melissa Joan Hart played the titular characters on both shows. So, we’ve looked for the series where the main characters aren’t necessarily named in the title—and now we’re putting you to the test!
How did you do? Did you manage to get 10/10? If you did, we’re impressed. For those who didn’t because they missed some of the sitcoms, we highly recommend putting them on your watchlist. And don’t forget to get your friends to test their knowledge by sharing this quiz with them.

Best Sitcoms of the 1990s
There were certainly some iconic sitcoms of the ‘90s. Seinfeld sits at the top of the list for many people, offering a series that didn’t allow the lead characters to learn anything in their whole time together. They were difficult and selfish people, and they remained that way all the way to the end, which was kind of unheard of at the time.
Just behind it is Friends, which took a more traditional route. While the characters were somewhat selfish at the beginning, especially Rachel, they all grew into respectful and kind adults. However, even with the ups and downs in their lives, they had each other’s backs. They remain the group of friends we would all want in our lives.
Of course, Frasier and Home Improvement sit at the top of the list of most memorable ‘90s sitcoms, for two completely different reasons. With Frasier, we had a man who had to move back home, giving us a chance to meet more of his family. Little did anyone know that this Cheers spinoff would end up surpassing the original series!
As for Home Improvement, that offered us a look at an everyday man. We have to question, even today, how some people get the job that they have, and Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor highlights that it’s often about charisma more than anything else.
Sitcoms of the ‘90s became memorable for their variety. Some, like Sabrina and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, would offer humor for children growing up, while creating life lessons for them to take. Then shows like Roseanne and Full House offered family-friendly viewing, designed to offer something for all members of the family. Many of them have been rebooted, revived, or spun off, and it shows the importance of the time period.
