Salvador Dali was a total enigma.
The Spanish surrealist artist would have been 122 yesterday (May 11), but time is a melted illusion that has no hold over a man like Dali, so for all we know he could somehow be -1022.
Anyone who has taken a passing glance at any of Dali’s artwork knows that he was definitely something… different.
Just as surreal as his paintings were, so too was the way he presented himself and the life that he lived to the ripe old age of 84, dying in the same place he was born: Figures, Cantalonia, Spain.
