There are very few places on Earth where somebody getting into a physical altercation with a shark feels completely on-brand.

Florida remains undefeated.

A viral nighttime beach video making the rounds online shows a woman somehow deciding that the correct course of action after pulling a live shark from the water was to attempt full physical domination over it using nothing but body weight, determination, and what appeared to be absolute confidence in terrible decision-making.

The shaky flashlight footage starts with the woman wrestling the thrashing shark along the shoreline while people nearby react somewhere between concern and “yeah, this tracks for Florida.”

And then, predictably, the shark reminds everyone involved that it is, in fact, a shark.

At one point during the struggle, the animal chomps directly onto the woman’s boot-covered foot while she continues trying to restrain it like she’s competing in some coastal WWE event.
