There’s a ton of free content available on Steam that PC gamers can take advantage of, with brand-new offers listed every week. With so many games being added, it’s sometimes hard to keep track, and it’s understandable if gamers miss out occasionally.

If you’re on the lookout for a quirky and… interesting new game to try out and don’t want to break the bank, Steam has one unique 2024 game with 100% positive user reviews that’s available to download and keep for free until Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Steam users have a limited time to grab Dino Running from a FURRY, a game from developers Piece of Voxel and Gamesforfarm that comes exactly as advertised, where players literally play as a dinosaur running away from a Furry in a 2.5D arcade-style running game. While it sounds simple (and weird) enough, the game technically has a 100% positive user review score on Steam, though it’s up for debate whether this rating is legit or not.

As various users point out, the game is clearly an asset-flip that essentially recreates Google Chrome’s endless runner Dinosaur Game into a 2.5D experience, adding in a furry to chase behind the dinosaur. While Steam lists the game as having just 12 positive reviews, which gives it the 100% score, there are actually hundreds of reviews up on this game since 2024 that point out just how undercooked the experience is.

Going through the user reviews, it’s actually hard to find a “serious” positive review that isn’t sarcastic or written by AI, as the game has become a bit of a haven for meme reviews. That said, negative reviews are a dime a dozen, and all point out the same lackluster gameplay and likely AI-generated features of the experience, highlighted here by SeeSee1:

“The sound design consists of a single looping audio track that will haunt your nightmares. I had to use my OS volume mixer to make it bearable — because there’s no in-game menu. No. Menu. Every level looks and plays virtually identical. The visual design is mind-numbingly boring. There are exactly 2 character types, both furries…. I’m genuinely unsure whether this was made by an AI, a sleep-deprived intern, or some cosmic punishment for past sins. What’s good? Nothing.”

While the game doesn’t come highly recommended among most players, it is available for free until May 30 on Steam, and if you’re intrigued by the premise and want to see what the game is all about for yourself, you can download and keep it in your library forever if you grab it before then.
