Popular denim brands are kicking off the summer shopping season with new stores.
Abercrombie & Fitch (A&F) opened a new SoHo store in New York City, located at 520 Broadway between Spring and Broome Streets last week.
Spanning three floors, the store introduces the brand’s first “Heritage Meets Modern” design concept and a brand-new accessories section. Curated archive displays throughout the entrance and stairway showcase apparel and memorabilia that connect A&F’s New York heritage to today, including a 1911 “Saranac” cord suit and a rare “Rainbow Pond” jacket made exclusively for Abercrombie & Fitch by Willis & Geiger in the late 1960s.
Heritage-inspired furnishings fill the store and reflect the brand’s roots in sports, travel and discovery. Customized millwork, mosaic tiling and fitting rooms with customizable lighting throughout enhance the space. Additionally, a dedicated activation area inspired by a New York hotel bar is housed on the second floor.
Abercrombie & Fitch SoHo
Abercrombie’s signature denim and exclusive New York City merchandise is at the heart of the store.
“Today’s customer leads a multifaceted life, and we wanted our products to reflect that,” said Corey Robinson, Abercrombie & Fitch Co. chief oroduct officer. “With a curated assortment that extends beyond apparel, we’re able to meet our customers wherever life takes them, outfitting them from head to toe with pieces that bring confidence, versatility and comfort for every occasion.”
Later this month, A&F’s sister brand Hollister will open a store at 547 Broadway in the former Abercrombie SoHo location.
Further south, Favorite Daughter opened a new boutique in Nashville, bringing the lifestyle brand’s retail footprint to three stores.

Erin Foster and Sara Foster
Located at 2212 12th Avenue South, the 1,500-square-foot store sits among other popular retailers in the 12South area, including Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott and Imogene & Willie. The boutiques carry an assortment of the brand’s suiting, denim, ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories.
Launched in 2020 by Erin Foster and Sara Foster in partnership with Centric Brands, the Los Angeles-based brand has gained a loyal following for its trend-right fashion, denim and closet staples with a focus on long-lasting quality.
The brand opened its first store in Beverly Hills store in 2021 and moved to a larger space in the neighborhood last spring. Last November, Favorite Daughter touched down in New York City and opened a 1,400-square-foot boutique on Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side.
The brand celebrated the opening with a private VIP event and a community event which will include a special performance by the Nashville-based, all-female country music trio Just Jayne.
“Women really connect with what we do, elevated staples, great tailoring, amazing denim, pieces you can live in, so opening on Madison Avenue in the fall and then in Nashville felt like the natural next steps. We want all our boutiques to feel like an elevated, in-person expression of the experience our customer already knows from shopping us online,” said co-founder Sara Foster.
