एक्टर ने आगे बात करते हुए बताया कि “मेरा वजन बढ़ता ही जा रहा था और डॉक्टरों ने मुझसे कह दिया था कि मैं बहुत अनहेल्दी हूं। 6 महीने के अंदर मेरी मौत भी हो सकती है और मुझे डायबिटिक स्ट्रोक भी हो सकता है क्योंकि मैं दिन में तीन बार इंसुलिन लिया करता था। मेरा शुगर लेवल 400 से 600 के बीच में रहा करता था और मैं दिन में 14 घंटे तक काम भी किया करता था।”

राम कपूर आगे बताते हैं कि “मैं किसी को भी इस बारे में बताना नहीं चाहता था क्योंकि मुझे बहुत ज्यादा प्यार और पैसा मिल रहा था। मैं यह सब कैसे छोड़ सकता था? मैं बहुत ज्यादा बुरा व्यक्ति बन चुका था और मैं शूटिंग पर 6-6 घंटे लेट पहुंचता था। हर किसी से बहुत बुरी तरीके से बर्ताव करता था और मैं सेट पर दारू पिया करता था।”
